Barnabus 'Wee Willie' Winkle (b. 1236) was a pure-blooded wizard and the oldest wizard alive, celebrating his 781st birthday early in June 2017, with a huge party of around 45 million.
Early Life[]
Barry 'Wee Willie' Winkle was born to wizarding parents on the 14th August 1236 and began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1247, having been sorted into Gryffindor.
During his time at Hogwarts, he was known to be quite mischievous. It is unknown what he did for a living after Hogwarts.
755th Birthday Party[]
Barry Wee Willie Winkle celebrates his 755th birthday in style tonight by throwing a huge party for all the wizards and witches he has ever known. 30 million are expected to attend tonight." - Oldest Wizard is 755, Daily Prophet, 14th August 1991
By 1991 he was the oldest living wizard and to celebrate his 755th birthday he invited everyone he knew over the past century or so to his house in Tinworth, Cornwall. The party was recorded by the Daily Prophet as 30 million people attended, including Albus Dumbledore and Elphias Doge.
781st Birthday Party[]
In July 2017, Winkle was still alive and held his birthday party early, inviting over 45 million people to the occasion at his large house in Cornwall. The guests included Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Minerva McGonagall, Filius Flitwick, Kingsley Shacklebolt and others.
It was the reason Albus Potter decided to take the matter of the death eaters at the Circle of Resurrection, into his own hands but Professor McGonagall was quick to return with aurors when it went wrong.
Later Life[]
By the Third Wizarding War, Winkle was still alive but severly disabled.
